Can\'t See Orbx Scenery

My ORBX FTX Central1 cant find the scenerycfg file to load the ORBX scenery. Since I did not buy my Orbx scenery through Steam I have put my inquiry here.

If yes I would plan to buy OrbX sceneries later to finally have the full visual fidelity of the new flight sim without internet access.

Can\'t see orbx scenery. Just the landmarks themselves. I have installed a freeware ORBXFTX Scenery which includes LGKL Kalamata airport in Greece FTX GLOBAL FREEWARE AIRPORTS EUROPE PACKS. So out of habit I now open my ORBX central and look at my products for updates.

The ORBX products dont need updating specifically for P3Dv52. Here are some screenshots. Upgraded from P3Dv43 to 44 Client Content only and I can say my ORBX scenery never looked so good.

See the screenshots below. Too low would mean that the Orbx ortho ground textures could look to blurry and when flying too high all the typical details are missing and making close-up shots of interesting objects wont be seen. But the airport looks unchanged.

One thing that does happen with ORBX or partners scenery is that if it needs update it will cause a CTD if you insert that airport in the planner then try to fly. While you are flying ORBX will tranform your scenery in ways that have to be seen first hand in your sim to be appreciated but if all you want to do is stare at the VC the whole flight then ORBX wont offer you any. I may be missing their Library Objects.

Mods if this belongs in Steam Add-Ons forum rather than this one please accept my apology and move it. Looked at their site and could not find them. The ORBX sceneries are not cheap quality comes at a price but if you enjoy looking at the ground scenery like mountains hills valleys deserts jungles alpine landscapes etc.

Then close it down and head over to where you store the scenery for ORBX and you will see a folder for v5. Only then proceed with the installation. Then lots of Base ones and this at the end.

No it didnt actually cause an issue with Orbx itself but it did cause every other scenery addon installed afterwards that uses the scenerycfg still to fail due to the sequencing being out. Generally Orbx objects around airports and other areas will be excluded from the Subscription scenery but sometimes I will leave them unexcluded -- so you may see some Orbx objects in Subscription scenery although I havent placed it there Ive just left it there. Also the topography of the area which i assume is from MeshYosemiteValleyHDBGL is way off reality i guess thats why Orbx built a scenery object for El Cap and blended it in.

If you havent already seen Orbx will soon be releasing the Edgley Optica for the simulator and it promised to be a unique experience that provides simmers the chance to see. I have purchased the Orbx - FTX. You generally wont see a lot of Orbx people-flow folk around Subscription scenery.

The easiest way to get them in is to opt in the fast track lane which when you restart the central app you will be able to click the option for v5. If any point updates are needed after the install ORBX Central will update whatever is needed. I am now a very happy flyer.

Hi I am newbie to FSX and ORBX. If you have any sceneries purchased in FSS you need to sign up for an account in ORBX Direct and then use FSS License Transfer tool to get all the content to your account. Click Configure and within the new window you can set the way you want to see the roads.

First download the current version of FTX Central and then install or update your sceneries and ORBX Libraries. In my experience following the proper procedure solves the problems. If I understood your question the add-on works offline but the landmarks will be placed over the offline landscape so you wont have aerials and photogrammetry.

You can do it the way as it is described in the above paragraph but since the Orbx Central works flawless with macOS you can also do it within the control panel.
